Lace-ia's mani

How hard is it to be a foreigner? Well, if you ask me it's pretty tuff. Not only do you have to learn the language, culture and the traditions of the new country, but you also have to get used to people misspelling your name. Don't get me wrong it's a great conversation starter: what did you say your name was Leisha (which is my worst nightmare, because it sounds like geisha), and where are you from, how did you get here? You don't even notice how you start telling total stranger story of your life. You try to learn different tricks: like when I was at coffee place with my boyfriend I would give his name for the order - Chris, but cashier thought that she misheard me and when after third call for a tall caramel macchiato there was no respond to Christina, I realized that it was mine. Not the best trick, but hey you have to try. After that I started telling people that my name was Lisa, because it's closest to Lesia, but that didn't feel right, and I didn't want to lose
myself. When I started attending yoga I had this amazing teacher - Amy, she was a very kind and smart woman. So when I introduced myself she said: " - Oh, Lesia, it's so pretty. It's like lace with ia ending." That's how she explained my name to the others in the class and that's how I do it now too. You would think when you hear my name thats how you spell it, but I guess my country didn't want me to have an easy life.  If you have a unique name try to rock it, cause there is enough stuff in this world to be stressed about. If you like lace as much as I happened to, please enjoy this manicure design.
