"One belongs to New York instantly, one belongs to it as much in five minutes as in five years''.
Tom Wolfe
You are correct Tom, I did feel like I belong to New York instantly. It's an amazing city with a strong energy.
In a previous post I told you that we started our adventures on Time Square and then headed to Central Park (click here to read New York Part 1). Next stop was Brooklyn Bridge. Of course I had to stop to have some junk food and what's better snack than hot dog from the hot dog stand.
I think we took a wrong directions and ended up walking 30 minutes just to get to the bridge, but when we got there it was all forgotten. The bridge itself is very pretty and the view from it is magnificent. It's one of the oldest bridges in the USA and almost two km long. The bridge is open for cars, pedestrians and bicycles. In every direction you look you see something incredible: Manhattan skyline, The East River, The Manhattan Bridge, and Brooklyn. Everything there is perfect and I highly recommend you to visit it.
The fashionista in me couldn't leave New York without visiting Soho. Can't afford yet most of the stores so I was just window shopping. Had a chance to stop at Laduree and got the most delicious macaron I ever had.
Also stopped at M&M's store on Time Square to pick up some candies for my daughter, who doesn't eat it yet. It was probably for me, but I didn't want to admit it.
My friend had a birthday on that day so drinks were mandatory. We stopped at nice sushi restaurant on Time Square. We were in a rush, so I was pleasently surprised that waiter served us in the time frame we presented him, but if you think everyone in NY is always in a rush, so it wasn't weird request to have lunch in 30 minutes.
Long story short I had a great time. Thank you for a great memories New York. I'm not saying goodbye, just see you later.
