Do you have a list of places that you want to visit? RISD museum was on my list for a long time, and I'm so happy I had a chance to finally visit it. It was everything I expected and more.
I will be honest with you, I don't know a lot about art. For me, it's either beautiful and I really like it or how can someone pay so much money for something that my three-year-old daughter can paint? By the way, she did try to recreate a couple of pieces after visiting the museum, so it left an impression on her as well.
I didn't expect to see there paintings of Van Gogh and Monet and it was a special surprise since I seen them for the first time.
Museum has a lot of different galleries: 18th and 19th centuries American, Ancient Greek and Roman, Asian Art, European, Modern, and Contemporary, Decorative Arts and Design. Since I love fashion, my favorite was the Costume and Textiles Gallery.
If you are visiting Rhode Island or local you must visit the RISD museum. It has so much to offer and will let you think about your experience for days to come. More information visit their website: RISDmuseum.org. Every Sunday and third Thursday of the month is a free admission.
Even so, it's a lifestyle post I quickly want to talk about my outfit. I wanted to buy a white dress with big buttons all summer. Finally purchased online and waited almost three weeks for my order. The dress turned out to be see-through so I'm wearing a cami dress underneath. Wish it would be stated on the website, but I still like it.
